COPPA Policy

Truly is committed to protecting children’s privacy and complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

This policy covers both our landing site and the Truly bot experience.

1. Our Intended Audience

Truly is intended for parents, guardians, and caregivers age 18 or older. Our website and services are not directed to children under 13.

2. What the Truly Bot Does

Truly is an AI parenting coach used by adults through chat (for example, Telegram). The bot helps caregivers:

  • Log baby events (such as feeding, sleep, diapers, pumping, medications, and notes)
  • Share updates by text or voice
  • Receive reminders and pattern-based insights
  • Get daily and weekly coaching summaries

Children do not create their own Truly accounts.

3. Information From Children Under 13

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

For clarity: this does not mean Truly collects no personal information. Truly does collect personal and child-related information when it is submitted by a parent, guardian, or caregiver using the service.

4. Information Collected From Parents and Caregivers

When adults use Truly (for example, by joining our waitlist or using the bot), we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Optional profile details voluntarily provided by the adult
  • Child-related data entered by the parent or caregiver (for example, birth date, routine logs, activity notes, and milestone information)
  • Technical data such as IP address and browser information for security and abuse prevention

This information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Any child-related information in Truly is provided by a parent, guardian, or caregiver to support tracking and coaching features. We use this information to:

  • Provide the bot’s logging, reminder, and coaching features
  • Improve reliability, safety, and service quality
  • Maintain account and system security

We do not allow children under 13 to publicly post personal information through the service.

6. Parental Rights

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, you may contact us to:

  • Review the information
  • Request deletion of the information
  • Refuse further collection or use

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and take appropriate action.

7. Data Use and Security

We use collected data to operate and improve our services, maintain security, and communicate with users. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this COPPA Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with the latest effective version.
